The rumors were true: Sledgehammer Games will be heading up development on the next Call of Duty installment.

Infinity Ward and Treyarch have traded off making CoD titles throughout the last generation. Sledgehammer was originally slated to develop a third-person spin-off for the franchise, but that project got axed. Instead, the team assisted Infinity Ward with Modern Warfare 3. Now, however, it's Sledgehammer's time to shine. Activision is awfully confident in the studio's ability, too, as Activision CEO Bobby Kotick said this new CoD entry is "perhaps the best Call of Duty game ever created." A bold statement but then again, that's the only kind of statement this guy makes. We don't have any concrete details on the game just yet, but that's not important. No, right now, what's important is this: Sledgehammer hasn't replaced Infinity Ward and Treyarch; they've merely joined the CoD family. This means Activision is moving to a three-year development cycle with three different teams. Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said this will allow their designers to infuse more life into the brand. The extra time should also result in more polish and innovation (ideally).
Okay, now I'm a little more interested in this franchise. A little.

Schade, ich hätte ja auf ein Ghosts 2 gehofft. Ich würde gerne wissen, wie die Story weitergeht (ja, kein Scherz). Nur deshalb würde ich mir ein Ghosts 2 kaufen, online finde ich CoD im Vergleich zu BF etwas klein geraten.

Wissen wie es weitergeht muss ich nicht, dafür war mir die Story nicht gut genug. Aber ich habe mir Ghosts auch nur deswegen geholt. Online mochte ich CoD noch nie, es ist mir zu eng und im Vergleich zu anderen Shootern weniger flexibel. Wenn ich das nächste Call of Duty kaufen soll muss auch ein angemessener Missionen-Teil dabei sein, sonst brauch ich es gar nicht erst anzuschauen.

Cod hat ne Story?, das ist mir neu.

Also wenn du auf Shooter mit guten Missionen stehst, bist du bei Cod irgendwie an der falschen Adresse, das Game ist klar auf den Multiplayer ausgelegt.

Ich muss mal schauen, ob ich mir das nächste hole (vorausgesetzt es kommt für WiiU), ich hole mir ja irgendwie nur jedes 2.
Ghosts hab ich noch nicht gezockt. MW3 leider auch nicht, obwohl da die Wiiversion sehr gut gewesen sein soll, da der overpowerte Mist in der Wiiversion nicht vorhanden war.

Bin hier zwar nicht DER CoD liebhaber. Aber es gibt ein erstes Bild was in meinen Augen schon gut aussieht. Nicht wegen der Grafik.. sondern iwie wegen des Settings. Dennoch geh ich nicht davon aus das ich es jetzt kaufen werden

Kommt von GameInformer. Ist deren nächste Cover Story. Und am Sonntag wird das Game komplett enthüllt.

In der original URL steht auch Blacksmith.. daher stimmt der Name wohl.

Abwarten. Screenhots traue ich nie über den weg zumal ich bei COD schon lange keine gute Grafik mehr erwarte so lange das Spiel die (trotz überarbeite) alte Engine nutzt.
