Arkham City - The Joker DLC Map for Tesco Preorders (UK)

EuroGamer.net have revealed that UK customers who preorder the game from supermarket chain Tesco will
receive The Joker Carnival maps as part of their preorder bonus. This is a separate set of missions based inside Joker's
hideout. You'll need to use detective work, combat and stealth while inside. It's estimated to add four hours of additional gameplay.

Joker's Carnival Challenge Map is a pre-order bonus exclusive to Tesco in the UK.

Online customers get a code emailed within two business days after their order ships. Store/in-store pickup
customers get a code inside the boxed product. All pre-order customers get a steel book edition for no extra charge.

Here's the official blurb on the DLC:

"Are you brave enough to step into the Joker's house of fun? Can you defeat armies of deranged killers in
a fight to the finish, hosted by the clown prince of crime in a twisted game show where the only prize is survival?"

Batman: Arkham City Not a Games For Windows 'Live' Title?

Warner Bros. have reportedly informed Green Man Gaming that Batman: Arkham City won't be a Games For Windows 'Live' title. Instead it will just hold the Games For Windows name.

Im Rahmen der PAX 2011 wurde bekannt, dass Arkham City auch die Option New Game+ bieten wird. Somit können wir uns nach dem ersten Durchgang abermals mit allen Gadgets und Upgrades auf dem Weg zum Funhouse machen

The game is said to be at least forty hours long and will also feature a ‘game plus’ system like we have seen in previous games -such as Ratchet and Clank- that will allow players to go back through the game using all the gadgets and upgrades they unlocked during their first play through.

finde es gut das man objekte zurück werfen kann und mit den batclaw zu sich gezogene gegner niederstrecken kann sieht einfach geil aus

Das haut mich jetzt echt vom Hocker. Das sind wahnsinnig viele. Ich hätte mit höchstens 200 gerechnet, aber das ist echt der Wahnsinn. Die Stadt muss ja rießig sein, wenn man da so viele Trophäen verstecken kann. Wird aber bestimmt Spaß machen sie alle zu suchen. Die Trophäen haben mir schon im Vorgänger sehr gut gefallen. Ich freu mich jetzt umso mehr auf das Spiel.

Finde ich jetzt nicht so dolle.
Bei dieser Anzahl wird die Sucherei am Ende wohl nur noch lästig. Lieber wären mir weniger die dafür aber besser versteckt sind.

A Glimpse At Arkham City's New 'Bio Display'

An interview with Rocksteady's famous Dax Ginn has given us a minor glimpse at Batman: Arkham City's new bio display. One of Arkham Asylum's major collective incentive was to gain access to character bios, these would consist of a small summary and an art piece by Carlos D'Anda. Its sequel has swapped the art for some in game character models with a stylish new menu.



The following information was also provided in the interview.

- All of Arkham City’s playable characters (Batman, Robin and Catwoman) can be used in every challenge mode/map.
- Robin can plant explosions as well as spot them using his ‘vision’ similar to Batman’s detective vision. Robin can also deploy a shield via his bow staff.
- Rocksteady have yet to decide on whether they will release a demo for Batman: Arkham City.

Arkham City Ranked,Campaign
& Custom Challenge Maps Revealed

Another interview from this months Gamescom has revealed further details regarding Batman: Arkham City's challenge mode.
The mode will feature ranked maps, campaign maps and custom maps. We suspect ranked maps will be similar to Arkham Asylum's while campaign will feature story elements such as the revealed 'Black Mask's Hideout' and 'Joker's Carnival', that are both available as pre-order DLC.

A report earlier in the year suggested that the challenge mode will feature customizations that will allow the user to dictate the number of gargoyles, thus limiting or granting Batman more areas to grapple to. This seems to fit nicely in the now confirmed "custom maps".

So, what do you think? Which version are you most looking forward to trying out?

Ich finds gut das es so viele Riddler Rästel gibt, klar beim 2 oder gar 3 Anlauf wirds sicherlich nervig
(vorallem wenn man Jagd auf die Platin Trophäe macht), aber beim ersten Anlauf hatte ich beim ersten
teil (sogar beim 2 Anlauf) sehr viel spaß mit gehabt. satte 200 Riddler Rätsel nun mehr, ich finds geil.^^

Ich finde es auch gut mit den Riddler Trophäen das macht Spaß .Aber einige warem bei AA doch sehr sehr schwer.

So schwer fand ich die Trophäen nicht. Man musste nur das Gebiet gut durchsuchen und je schwerer sie zu finden sind, desto mehr Spaß macht es. Was für mich aber manchmal sau schwer war, waren diese Rätsel, wo man sich in einer Gegend an eine bestimmte Stelle stellen musste, um so im Detektivmodus ein Fragezeichen zu sehen. Das war wirklich eine Herausforderung.

Sehe ich auch so, wirklich Herausfordern waren nur ganz wenige. Ich fands trotzdem richtig genial zu wissen
das man da noch nicht hinkommen kann (weil einem ja noch ein Gadget fehlt) so stieg bei mir die Motivation
später nochmals die Gegend zu erkunden. Richtig cool fand ich ebenfalls die Fragezeichen (die man aus einem
anderen Blickwinkeln) betrachten musste, oder die vielen versteckten Hinweise zu vielen Batman Schurken.

Das waren so dingen die das Spiel zu was besonderem gemacht haben, ich hoffe das
Rocksteady in Sachen Schwierigkeit nach legt sowohl bei den Rätseln als auch bei den Kämpfen.
