Welcome to this group! I hope it will help you and that you will have a lot of fun in here. So, you're going to bed in five minutes? Well, I'm going to stay here a little longer. I can't sleep now, anyway.

I'll also go to bed a little bit later, but before 12 P.M., because I have to go to work tomorrow.

Aww, Dreami! I know how annoying getting up early can be... But on the other hand - if holidays are too lang they get boring after some time as well. I'm out of school now since June 19th and studying begins in October - that are four months and I hate doing nothing! Hopefully, I get the answers to my applications this week, so that I can move next months and finally begin my new life!

I have to get up on 6.30, I just set the alarm on new mobile phone on. I like this thing, just bought it today

New mobile phone? Now I'm curious - which one is it?

The LG KP500, also known as the LG Cookie. It's got a touchscreen and a 3MP camera. There's no Wifi or 3G, but I don't use this, so it was exactly what I needed: A new phone with the latest features I need, with a good software, but not too expensive.

I think it's a good one. But for me mobile phones aren't the real ones..
Yes i like them to call my mates and writing short messages, just like that, but I'm really old-fashioned with these new applications like programms as if the mobile would be a computer.
Yes, these are of course cool features if you USE it. And I just would'nt

Of course. I don't even use the mobile phone for calling oder wiritng very often.. so why should I do it with things that can also be made on the computer at home?
And I don't need the Internet when I'm not at home. IF I needed it, I'd rather use the laptop than the mobile phone :P

Ok, I can understand that! I am not that different, I guess... I use my mobile phone only for sms and calls and mostly when I am not at home. It's very important to me and and I don't want to miss it, but I don't need all that extra stuff. For taking photos I rather use my camera, for listenig to music I've got a mp3-player and for all the rest my computer - so I really don't need this features for my mobile! Well, but I can understand that people love to have all these functions combined in just one little gadget.

Yes, of course, it can be nice. But only if you use it as I've explained before
But my best friends don't even have a mobile phone and we don't need it (there is ICQ and normal phone for us ), so I use it very rarely. Just for some guys and if my parents want to know anything.

Well, okay... Seems that you really don't need a mobile phone! Whatever, there are a lot other things to talk about than mobile phones. What are your hobbies?

Well, I'm not really into gaming...

I really love music (especially rock and metal), which includes singing, dancing and playing instruments as well. Furthermore I am very creative - I like drawing or creating pictures with the computer and I am writing poems. Apart from that I live to go out with friends. It's always just so funny, no matter what we are doing (party, going to the cinema, playing pool, watching dvd, going swimming and lots more), we always laugh a lot! I am on a volleyball team and I also love biking, swimming, basketball and handball (although I am not allowed to play anymore). Oh and of course I love reading, chatting and everything that's got something to do with English!!

Oh, but if you're not into that gaming thing I don't understand how you got here to the forumla community

I´m new in the group and I have a big problem with the language, too.
Now I was in the 12th class and I think, that my english is so good, like a pupil in tne 6th class.
Normaly I don´t like english. But english is in ouer world so importent, that I will learn it.

I hope that we are all would be better hear.

Yes, robse with photoshop and many other programs like it. And why am I in forumla? Well, originally I searched a Linkin Park board on google and what I found was forumla. I stayed here because here are so many different boards and I like most of them (especially the multimedia part).

It would be great if there also the corrections would be (<== komische Satzstellung o0). For me, I'm sometimes reading English like German, some weeks ago I read a help file for a software on Linux. On the end of the file, it turned to English, I think because it's a newer version that isn't already localised, but I just continued to read, like it was German.

Ok, then I will correct all mistakes I read from now on! If anybody wishes to be not corrected, please tell me - I don't want to offend you!

Dreami, you are right. You can't read English like German because the sentences structure is different but also very easy. It's always SPO (subject, predicate, object)!

Corrections:
"I make more"? I think you meant "I like better".
"Was used": I think you would say "was already in use".
"therfore i must vote the Name Soulreaverchan": therefore with an "e" after the "r". The past tense of "must" is "had to" and "vote" is only used for an election (if you vote for someone, it is mostly a political vote). You would say "choose". "Name" of course with a small "n". So corrected sentence: therefore I had to choose the name Soulreaverchan.
"The correction from mistakes are very good": You would say "The correction of mistakes is very good". Because correction is only 1 thing and not multiple things. And in English you don't use "from" as a genitive, but "of".

Okay, so I will call you soul from now on. Nice explanation for the corrections robse.

And my day was pretty boring... My throat hurts and I think I have a cold, so I can't really go outside and stuff... So I chatted, did the household, read, listened to music and stuff like that.

So, because I'm really too lazy now to write everything again, here's the post where I've described it already:

I've also found out that a good friend had about a book, too. ANd I could convince him to start working again.

Yesterday was a good day, because I´m in the holidays. In the "sächsische Schweiz". But in three ore four houers I go by car back to home.
If I looked out the window, I can see a lot of cheeps on the "Elbwiesen".
That is a little bit confuse because the last days there was nothing.
And now there eaten the roses from the rosegarden. The people from the rosegarden restaurant come and try to stop them. Its funny^^

correction: Yesterday was a good day because I'm on holiday in "sächsische Schweiz". (es muss immer "on" holiday heißen (wenn du Urlaub in einem anderen Land machst) es sei denn, du erzählst jemandem, was du in den ferien gemacht hast "in the summer holidays, I...", was sächsische Schweiz heißt, weiß ich jetzt auch gerade nicht - aber du schreibst nie ein "the" davor, wenn du Länder oder Landteile meinst, z.b "I'm on holiday in bavaria") But in three or four hours, I go back home by car. (wrong spelling of or and hours, wrong wordorder). If I look through the window (or: if I look outside), I can see a lot of sheep on the "Elbwiesen" (If-clause, "out the window" ist Deutsch und das gibt es so im Englischen garnicht und "sheep" wird mit s am Anfand geschrieben und hat nie ein "s" am Ende). That is a little bit confusing because the last days there was nothing (du meintest doch verwirrend?? "a little bit confuse" würde heißen "ein bisschen verwirrt"). And now they are eating the roses from the rosegarden (du hast "there" und "they're" verwechselt und die falsche Zeit gewählt)

Wow, this really sounds funny! Did you enjoy your holidays?

PS: Wenn du mal Fragen zur Korrektur hast, dann frag ruhig - ist schließlich auch wichtig, dass du sie verstehst. Achja und an die Allgemeinheit - wollt ihr lieber auf Deutsch oder auf Englisch berichtigt werden?

Just some minutes ago, I tried to plug in an AC adapter in the power strip. Just as it had contact with electricity, there was a big bang and the power strip was off. Turned out I plugged it in too slowly. At first, I got a big shock, but all worked again after plugging in the cutout again.

@Bibi: Denke in Deutsch wäre fast besser, da es leichter verständlich ist.

@Dreami: Okay, that's crass. And did the shock hurt really much or was it not as bad as I think?

Now I am home and must "pack out?= auspacken" my clothes.
But I enjoyed the holiday. The weather was not to cold ore to hot, the ways(=Wanderwege?) were not to hard ore to easy and I liked this area.
I was there for two years, too. And it is funny, wehn you get a "dejavou".
I know that I was for two years on a place and there I have choose the wrong way.
Now I have choosen the wrong way, too^^ Was a fifty fifty chance.

And every day I have talked with the waitress from the hotel. They was funny and when my grandpa say that I love this person(that is stupid) then I get a red face.
I hate this. But I dont have bad thought. I only like it to speak^^

@ soul: there bedeutet "da, dort" und they're ist die Kurzform von they are und bedeutet "sie sind"

correction: Now I am home and have to unpack my clothes. ("to have to" ist ein Ersatzverb für "must", "must" wird nämlich nur für Notwendigkeiten verwendet und existiert auch nur in Present Tense, "unpack" ist das richtige Wort für "auspacken")
The weather was neither too cold nor too hot, the paths (oder trails) were neither too hard nor too easy and I liked that area. (wenn du das deutsche "weder...noch" ausdrücken willst, dann benutzt man "neither...nor", wenn du im Englischen "zu warm" sagen willst, dann schreibst du das to mit zwei oo also "too", und ich würde "that" statt "this" verwenden, weil du dich ja nicht mehr in der area befindest. )
I have already been there two years ago and it is funny, when you get a "déjàvu". ("two years ago" bedeutet "vor zwei jahren" wenn du etwas im Simple Past schreibst und dich zeitlich darauf beziehst, verwendest du eigentlich immer "ago" also "vor einer Woche" = "one week ago", "vor drei Monaten" = "three months ago", usw. "Have been" hab ich verwendet weil du den ganzen Text über past tense verwendet hast und wenn du nun etwas beschreibst, dass noch länger zurück liegt, aber für den Text noch eine Bedeutung hat, musst du Present Perfekt benutzen - das von mir eingefügte "already" ist übrigens ein Signalwort dafür. "As well" habe ich benutzt, weil es stilistisch und in dem Zusammenhand einfach besser passt als "too" - "too" benutzt man eher, wenn jemand sagt "I like horses" und du sagst "I like horses, too".)

I hate that, but I didn't have a bad thought I just liked to talk to that person. (Ein zusammenhängender Satz macht mehr Sinn, als drei kleine unvollständige. Simple Past, aus immernoch denselben Gründen, das gleiche gilt für "that" und "just" passt in diesem Fall besser als "only". "Talk" statt "speak" weil du, wenn du unterhalten meinst eigentlich immer "talk" benutzt.)
Sorry for the long post with many mistakes, but it only can get better. (many benutzt du immer bei Sachen, die man zählen kann und die einen Plural haben, "much" bei allen anderen und "get" weil ich glaube dass du "werden" und nicht "sein" meintest.)

There's no need to apologize for a longer post! On the contrary - I think, it's very good that you try to improve your English and that you aren't afraid of posting a longer text as well, although you know that there might be a lot of mistakes. And you're right - you only can get better!

What you wrote about your holidays sounds quite interesting - maybe I should go there, too, and explore the wrong trails. Well, hopefully I won't get lost then!

When you will work from Bad Schandau to the "Schrammsteine", then you come to the wrong way. There stand a sign with the words "Schrammsteine"(cross shows right) and "Schrammsteintor"(cross shows left). And we have thought, that is the same. And the wrong way looked like a little bit better^^
But when you will go to "Sächsische Schweiz" then you must visited the Labyrinth.

Only few tourist know from them. But I think ist is the best. And it is not only for children. There you can work at the top of the rocks or you go another ways. In the middle of rocks(Durch schluchten meine ich^^) you can go too.
It is nice there.

".. if I had learned this at first" Im "if-clause"brauchst du ja automatisch die Vergangenheit, um den Fall auszudrücken. Deshalb brauchst du, um im "if-clause" die Vergangenheit auszudrücken das "past perfect" (past tense von have + past participle)

I can understand well why you like it that much. There must a really nice view and a beautiful landscape! But I don't like hiking very much. I would rather visit a museum in a castle I think

@ soul: A good way to learn the right grammar is this book! There are a few exercises after each chapter, which I find very helpful, and you can look up the correct answers at the end of the book. The book contains really everything you need for English grammar and I think it's perfect for learning English!

But i am a little bit different from you. I like it to hiking(neues Wort gelernt^^) and find museums boring. In "Rathen" (that was ouer holiday place) was a castle on the top of the mountain. And when I have looked outside, I had seen it. With fog on the evening it is very beautiful. "Königsstein" is a nice castle, too. One Year ago, I was there by a "Schandmaul" concert. Since this day I love it^^

But I (<== I ist immer gross) am a little bit different from you. I like hiking(neues Wort gelernt^^) and find museums boring. In "Rathen" (that was our holiday place) was a castle on the top of the mountain. And as I have looked outside, I have seen it. With fog on the evening, it is very beautiful. "Königsstein" is a nice castle, too. One Year ago, I was there on a concert of "Schandmaul". Since this day, I love it^^
I also like hiking, but only when the weather's good. I hiked with my mother on one of the biggest mountains in Switzerland, the "Säntis". It took about 5 hours, but it was great

And when I have looked outside, I had seen it. Eigentlich ein schöner Gebrauch der Vergangenheit, aber ich denke man würde eher sagen: "And when I was looking out of the window, I saw it." Past progressive deshalb, weil du während einer längeren Handlung (aus dem Fenster schauen), eine kurze Handlung ausführst (du hast es gesehen).

So you like castles? I like castles, too. When I imagine that there have been living Knights and so on in the Middle Ages my eyes must really blink, because I'm so amazed
And Schandmaul? Is it your favourite band?

I never was in Switzerland. But in Austria often. I like mountains. And every mountain is different. My difficult hike was last year. My grandpa and I was so stupid and went away from the way. And then we are climbing on a mountain(not stone. It was earth and grass, but it was very dangerous). That was the first time I learned fear. But we have luck. On the top was a way, that we are know.
Only Bad is, that I have a very big wound on my leg. One year later, also now, I can still see it. A symbol for me, that I never will do it again. I dont know, why we are so stupid. But one think is good. I can say that I was climbing on a mountain without help^^

I like the Middle Ages. Castles, knights and fantasy thinks, too.
Schandmaul is one of my favorite bands. Inextremo, Subway to Sally, Saltatio Mortis, etc. are very good, too. Or realy middle ages Bands, like Duivelspack, Die Streuner and Irrlichter.
I like this kind of music. And "Radio Aena" is the only radio, that play (for me) good music^^
