Da ich so ein großer Fan von Emma Roberts bin wollt ich euch mal darauf aufmerksam machen. Sie spielt in einem neuen Film der "Adult World" heißt. Die Dreharbeiten laufen gerade und via Twitter schrieb sie, wie genial dieser John Cusack, der auch eine große Rolle spielt, doch ist. Emma hat aber die Hauptrolle und das ist gut so. Im Film geht es um ein Mädchen namens Amy (Emma Roberts), die nach ihrem Abschluss Schriftstellerin werden will. Einen Job zu findet erweist sich aber als sehr schwer und Arbeit findet sie dann in einem Erotik-Laden wo nur Erotik Bücher verkauft werden.

Emma Roberts and Evan Peters were shooting scenes for “Adult World” at a home in DeWitt, NYFiordon Road in DeWitt, a quiet tree lined street not far from Shoppingtown Mall, has hosted some serious star power over the past two days. The cast and crew of ”Adult World” have been filming scenes at a local home - and curious neighbors had a chance to see just how a professional film crew works.“Every day I walk to to the bus stop and see them making a movie,” said Jack Fennell as he watched the crew setting up for a shot.Fennell and other local kids were able to see Emma Roberts film a scene where she runs out of a house and drives away in a minivan as other characters chase after her.“It’s a great opportunity to see the backstage live scenes you only see on DVDs,” said Alex Frank, who lives nearby.The younger generation was hoping to meet Roberts during a break in filming while many of their parents were hoping to catch a glimpse of her co-star, John Cusack.“Not a lot happens around here and it’s kind of cool they want to film in our neighborhood,” said Kate Stepanian who lives one block away from the film set.While most of the neighborhood had to watch from outside, one local family had two Hollywood stars right in their living room.The director and producer were looking for a ranch style house for filming and a friend of a friend knew the Grubka family. After Regan Grubka and her husband agreed to allow the film crew to use their house, some new furniture was moved in and soon they were hosting John Cusack.“It’s been a whirlwind. It’s really exciting,” said Regan Grubka. “When I saw him for the first time, he looked familiar like and old familiar face because you’ve seen him on so many shows and TV programs. So I’m like oh, that’s John Cusack and I’m like oh - I’m in the same room!”“Adult World” producer and 2006 Jamesville-DeWitt grad Justin Nappi said it was always a dream of his to bring a movie production to his hometown - and Nappi says Syracuse has a lot of movie-making potential.“I think it’s very capable. I think that you’ll see a lot more filming going on in the next couple years. We’re working on some stuff right now actually,” said Nappi after filming had finished for the day.

On Saturday, Feb. 18, Hollywood comes to SU as crews for the independent film “Adult World” arrive on campus for a day of production shoots. The PG-13 film, produced by Syracuse native Justin Nappi, is expected to premiere at a future Sundance Film Festival and stars Emma Roberts as a recent college graduate who believes she’s destined to be a great poet. After several rejections from national magazines, she's forced to take the first job she can find. Actor John Cusack stars as her professor.“It's a quirky coming-of-age story,” Roberts recently told USA Today. “My character is very smart, but the economy is very bad.”More than 100 students from theCollege of Visual and Performing Artswill gain a rare, real-world view of the film-making process as they work on the set as extras, production interns, set designers, prop masters and grips. Crews will be working at Carnegie Library, the Maxwell School, Crouse College, Link Hall and outside the Hall of Languages. Next week crews will shoot a scene with the SU Pep Band in the Carrier Dome.Production on the film continues through the end of February at locations throughout Syracuse and Central New York.

Shannon Woodward will play Candace, a punk/goth anarchist sporting a nose ring and a Ramones shirt. Deadline previously reported that Emma Roberts, John Cusack and Evan Peters were cast in Adult World, which began production this month in upstate New York via TreeHouse Pictures and Anonymous Content. In Adult World, Candace and her friend Amy (Roberts) bond over their mutual rebellion becoming roommates who decide to live the down-and-out life together. Directed by Scott Coffey (Elle Parker) with a script by Andrew Cochran, Adult World examines the “contemporary state of post-graduate life in America,” TreeHouse president Justin Nappi told Deadline earlier this month. “This is a smart satirical comedy that will resonate with a lot of people.” Woodward currently stars on Fox’s comedy Raising Hope and previously starred in FX’s The Riches. She is repped by Untitled and Gersh.

Cloris Leachman will play Mary Anne, the owner of a porn store, in director Scott Coffey’s Adult World. John Cusack, Evan Peters and Emma Roberts star in the film, currently shooting in upstate New York from a script by Andrew Cochran. The film centers on 21-year-old Amy Anderson. Convinced she is the next star in the literary world, she moves back with her parents to write poetry. But her parents force her to get a “real job,” and the only place that will hire her is an erotic bookstore called Adult World. Leachman, who won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1972 for The Last Picture Show, is repped by Innovative Artists.
