Release im Frühjahr 2012.

Wird wohl Opening/Ending in Animestyle haben, aber alles neu. Ebenfalls eine Stunde lang (da OP/ED sicher keine Stunde sein werden nehme ich mal an es wird 1h neue Animeszenen geben).

Scheint die alten Charaktere in der Demo zu geben, aber mit neuen Gameplayelementen (auf den Screens kann man eine zusätzliche Leiste bei den Support-Charakteren sehen).

Der wichtigste Teil:
"Wir können das "neue System" noch nicht komplett zeigen. Aber wir wollen euch schonmal einen kleinen Einblick geben"

IGN Interview zu Generations, für zukünftige storm Teile wird vlt sogar von einem character creator geredet!

Und im Verlauf des nächsten Monates(Oktober) soll ein neuer/neue character/e bekannt gegeben werden, hört sich jetzt nicht sonderlich spannend an, aber wer weiß wers ist

Der letzte Absatz erwähnt ein Video das auf der Ausstellungsfläche gezeigt wird. Inhalt kommen wohl alle bisher in Scans vorgestellten Charaktere vor, von neuen Charakteren ist nicht die rede. Ob wir diesen Trailer auch mal zu Gesicht bekommen ist eine andere Sache, man scheint insgesamt nicht viel Aufmerksamkeit auf NUNSG zu haben (wieso auch immer). Eventuell kommt der Trailer ja nach der TGS.

• Generations will have more characters than Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 – which Matsuyama mentions has 62 playable characters
• Generations will cover from the start of Naruto to the start of the war in Naruto Shippuden.
• In Generations, L2 will be a dedicated substiution jutsu button and R2 will be a dedicated guard button
• In Generations, the circle button will be attack/melee. There will also be the ability to cancel (we’re unclear on this, but it seems like circle followed by triangle will be cancel)
• Matsuyama would like to develop a Naruto game on PS Vita. He’s not sure about 3DS or WiiU, but if there is an immense desire by the fans for Naruto on those consoles, they may try to see what can be done
• Many children and adults play PSP in Japan, sometimes more than PS3, so that was Naruto Impact was put on the PSP rather then PS3

Naruto Generations: Interview Reveals No Filler Characters

The team over at PALGN recently wrote an article about their interview with the great president of CyberConnect2, Hiroshi Matsuyama at the Tokyo Game Show earlier this month. The topic? Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations! Below are some of the key points from the interview:

• Japanese audiences gave a lot of technical feedback, such as where the bars should be positioned, the balance of systems, and depth of fighting.
• European and American audiences gave more feedback for content, such as the desire to play as Haku, Zabuza, and other characters
• Matsuyama was surprised how well fans outside of Japan know about the Naruto series and how up-to-date they are.
• Just about every major character from the Naruto series is expected to be in the game. The one exception is fillers. There will be no filler characters in Generations.
• The game is being created to be more accessible, easier to understand and easier to get into.
• Storm 1 and 2 had a lot of RPG elements and an action/adventure mode. Generations will not have this, but instead players will be kept in battle constantly.
• Much of the focus in the game will be on Naruto and Sasuke, however, players will get a chance to experience the history of other characters such as Minato and Itachi.
• CC2 has worked closely with the Naruto anime studios to create new content that will be considered canon. The game will have up to 60 minutes of original anime content.

Just to be clear, the game will likely have a story mode, however, it won’t be like the past Storm games. Out understanding is that it will be more like the Ultimate Ninja games on the PS2 – there will be cutscenes to progress the story followed by a battle.
Also, two things were left open to interpretation from the interview. First off, the game was mentioned to be more accessible (bullet 5). It wasn’t mentioned, however, how this would be accomplished and if there would be tutorials to help get players get acclimated to the game. Secondly, it was mentioned much of the focus would be on Naruto/Sasuke, but there would be 60 minutes of original anime content. Does that mean there will be more than 60 minutes of anime content that’s taken directly from Naruto Part 1 and Shippuden or does it mean everything about Naruto/Sasuke will be created to appear for the first time in Generations?

Rumor: First, Second Hokage Playable in Naruto Generations.

The legendary First Hokage (Hashirama Senju) along with his brother the Second Hokage (Tobirama Senju ) made their debut in the Storm series back in 2008 in Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm. However, they were only included as support characters, and fans were quite disappointed. In Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, the Hokages of the Hidden Leaf Village were nowhere to be found at all. Fans desired to control wood and ice in the same ways the brother Hokages could. Well, it looks like CyberConnect2 may once again be answering fan desires as rumor has it the First and Second Hokage will be playable in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations! The rumor comes from the reliable Tale Tale Source blog, which often correctly reveals the contents of the latest Shonen Jump issue. In other words, this weekend we may be getting the scan with the official revelation! Of course, we at Saiyan Island rely on pictorial or video proof when giving our final nod to whether a character will be confirmed playable, so again take this as rumor until the scan does come out!
