Unable to retrieve software information ???

Bekomme seit neustem immer die Fehlermeldung Unable to retrieve software information wenn ich mein YDL updaten will. Was muss ich ändern damit es wieder funzt ??? Muss ich alles "plätten" und wieder aufspielen ??? Bitte um Hilfe. MfG Matthias

Ja, die Verbindung steht. Surfen mit Firefox klappt prima.

Da ich ja anscheinend nicht der Einzige mit diesem Problem bin, wäre es klasse wenn hier einer einen Lösungsansatz hätte. Möchte ungern noch mal alles neu instalieren. Danke

Bevor ich zu Ubuntu gewechselt bin hatte ich das gleiche Problem.
Mit nem bisschen googeln findet man die Lösung.
Genau weiss ich es nicht mehr aber es liegt daran dass in den Dateien mit den Quellen vor den Serveradressen eine # ist.

also zb. Livna.repos.d (o.ä.)öffnen und einfach die # löschen.
Dies muss mit allen Repo Dateien geschehen.
Dann neustarten und dann ging es bei mir wieder.

Vorher aber ne Sicherung von den Dateien anlegen falls es das nicht ist.

Hallo,

hatte das gleiche Problem. Habe über das Terminal yum update ausgeführt.
Danach hatte ich keine Fehlermeldung mehr. Installation von mplayer und anderer Software ohne Probleme. Habe YDL 5.0.1

Also,

unter Anwendungen>Zubehör >Terminal, musst aber als root angemeldet sein.
im Terminal steht bei mir (root@localhost) dann yum update eingeben und Enter drücken. Nach hoffentlich erfolgreicher Installation müsste die Fehlermeldung weg sein.

Hallo Community,

und zwar, habe ich mal wieder ein problem,

ich gehen im ydl (ps3)(Gnome) auf Add/Remove Software, und dann kommt diese meldung

"Unable to retrieve software information"

Habe schon paar tage lang versucht eine lösung zu finden, aber scheint net so zu funktionieren,

darum bitte ich euch um hilfe.

Hallo,

also wie oben beschreiben habe ich das mit dem YUM Update ausgeführt.
Hatte da keine Fehlermeldungen. Da ich auch noch Linuxanfänger bin, weiß ich allerdings auch nicht wie man das Problem beheben kann.
Es könnte sein, dass die Updateserver nicht erreichbar sind.

Die Paketquellen sind ja im Verzeichnis /etc/yum.repos.d/. Vielleicht muss man die erneuern bzw. einen anderen mirror zum download angeben.
Vielleicht hilft dir folgender Link weiter:

Ich hoffe es hilft dir weiter.
